Battling NJ's Education Funding Crisis

Watch Assemblyman Alex Sauickie confront the Assembly Budget Committee about the devastating state funding cuts to 172 school districts, including Jackson and Plumsted Twp. Sauickie spoke in Trenton on March 20 at a public hearing on Gov. Phil Murphy’s 2025 state budget.

Learn about the teacher layoffs, program cuts, and sports cancellations that these communities are suffering under the controversial S2 funding formula, which passed in 2018 and took millions of dollars in state aid from many school districts.
