Assemblyman Sauickie took office promising strong, conservative leadership in Trenton for the people of Legislative District 12. And during his tenure, he’s kept that promise. Take a look at his initiatives and the policy objectives he’s accomplished.
Assemblyman Sauickie knows that the family unit is the backbone of our society. As a husband and father of five, he understands the challenges of parenthood and the worry of protecting our children, whether at home, school, the doctor’s office, or in public. Assemblyman Sauickie has introduced and cosponsored several bills that support and strengthen families in the Garden State.
A5116 — Establishes opt-out coverage for abortions under health benefits plans
Saving the Garden State from over development is crucial to providing recreation for our pleasure and food for our tables. Assemblyman Sauickie is at the forefront of the fight against unrestricted warehouse development and preserving our State’s farmland (and the farmer).
A4729 — Revises method for appraisals of farmland to be acquired for farmland preservation purposes
A5120 — Prohibits ownership of agricultural land in State by foreign governments and persons
Policing, today, is one of the toughest jobs imaginable. Assemblyman Sauickie believes that public officials need to have our officers’ back. His legislation backing the blue includes ensuring safety of officers on university campuses, upgrading the crime of assault on police, and more.
Freedom isn’t free. Our enjoyment of the rights and liberties we enjoy are due to the veterans that have put their lives on the line. Assemblyman Sauickie is grateful for their sacrifice and has introduced legislation to increase our veterans’ access to care, safeguard them from negligent care, and more.
A319 — Establishes Office of Inspector General for Veterans’ Facilities
A5030 — Requires DMVA establish Veterans Outdoor Recovery Task Force
New Jersey is pricing its own citizens out of their homes. Even high income earners in other states are considered in need of public assistance here. Taxes, regulations, and energy costs are forcing our families to flee. Assemblyman Sauickie has sponsored legislation to cut costs, promote the economy, and reduce expensive mandates on local government.
A2058 — Indexes for inflation taxable income brackets under New Jersey gross income tax
