Office of Assemblyman Alex Sauickie

Assemblyman Sauickie knows that the family unit is the backbone of our society.  As a husband and father of five, he understands the challenges of parenthood and the worry of protecting our children, whether at home, school, the doctor’s office, or in public.  Assemblyman Sauickie has introduced and cosponsored several bills that support and strengthen families in the Garden State.

A1802 — Provides gross income tax credit for certain expenses paid or incurred for care and support of qualifying senior family member; designated as Caregiver’s Assistance Act

A3920 — Requires school districts to receive written permission from parent or legal guardian before administering certain student health surveys

A3800 — “Parents’ Bill of Rights Act”; requires public school and school district provide certain information to parents and guardians and obtain parental consent prior to taking certain actions

A4801 — Directs State Board of Education to rescind New Jersey Student Learning Standards in Comprehensive Health and Physical Education and directs boards of education to establish Parental Advisory Committees and adopt standards for health instruction

A5116 — Establishes opt-out coverage for abortions under health benefits plans
